Fox was born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, daughter of Gloria Dorlene (née Cisson) and Franklin Thomas Fox She has stated that she is Irish-American descent, French, English and native. She was raised \"in a very strict Pentecostal," but later attended Catholic school for 12 years. Fox's parents divorced when she was young. Fox\'s mother later remarried, and she and her sister were raised by their mother and stepfather, Tony Tonachio. Fox began her training in drama and dance at the age of five years in Kingston, Tennessee.
